Terms & Policies

Effective date: 2026-04-25

This page combines the legal terms governing your use of absurdintelligence.com (the “Service”), our online ordering and catering processes, our food-safety and allergen disclosures, our privacy and cookie practices, our accessibility commitment, our notice-and-cure procedure, and the dispute-resolution provisions that apply to any claim arising out of the Service. By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. Terms of Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use. You will not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, breach any security or authentication measure, or interfere with the Service’s operation or other users.

1.1 Account integrity

You are responsible for any activity that occurs under credentials issued to you. If you become aware of unauthorized use, notify us immediately so we can suspend access.

1.2 Intellectual property

All content, design, software, and trademarks on the Service are the property of Absurd Intelligence, Inc. or its licensors and are protected by United States and international intellectual-property laws.

2. Online Ordering Terms

Where the Service permits you to place orders for products or services, the following additional terms apply:

  • Pricing displayed at checkout is binding for the order in question; we may change list pricing for future orders without notice.
  • An order is accepted only when we transmit a confirmation; until then, we may decline an order for any reason, including suspected fraud or stock errors.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the delivery address and contact details you provide.
  • Payment is collected through PCI-DSS-compliant processors; we never store full card numbers on our infrastructure.

3. Catering Terms

Catering inquiries are not confirmed bookings. A signed catering agreement, executed by an authorized representative of Absurd Intelligence, is required. Cancellations made fewer than 72 hours before the event date may forfeit any deposit.

4. Food Safety & Allergen Disclosure

Items prepared in our kitchens may have come into contact with the major allergens recognized under the FDA Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act, including milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame. We cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment. If you have a severe allergy, please tell us before ordering and consult a medical professional.

5. Privacy Policy (GDPR / CCPA)

5.1 Information we collect

  • Form submissions — name, work email, company, role, and the message you send us.
  • Technical data — a one-way hash of your IP address (used for abuse detection only; we do not retain raw IPs), user agent, and timestamps.
  • Cookies — strictly necessary cookies only; see Section 6.

5.2 How we use information

  • To respond to demo, sales, and support requests.
  • To detect and prevent abuse of public endpoints (rate limiting).
  • To meet legal obligations and exercise legal rights.

5.3 Legal basis (GDPR)

We process personal data on the bases of consent (you submit a form), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention), and legal obligation.

5.4 Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents additionally have the right to know and the right to delete under the CCPA / CPRA, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information.

5.5 Retention

We retain demo-request records for 24 months from the date of submission unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve a dispute.

5.6 Contact for privacy requests

Email [email protected].

6. Cookie Policy

We use only strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function (e.g., session integrity, CSRF protection). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Because all cookies fall under the “strictly necessary” category recognized by the ePrivacy Directive, no consent banner is required; if we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will gate them behind opt-in consent.

7. Accessibility Statement

We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across the Service. See our dedicated Accessibility page for the full statement, the features we have shipped, and how to report a barrier.

8. Notice & Cure Policy

Before bringing a legal action against Absurd Intelligence arising out of or relating to the Service, you must first provide written notice describing the claim in reasonable detail and a good-faith opportunity of at least 30 days to cure the alleged issue. Notice must be sent to [email protected]. This requirement does not apply to claims for injunctive relief.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Binding arbitration

Except for claims for injunctive relief or claims that may be brought in small-claims court, any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these terms will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. The seat of arbitration shall be Wilmington, Delaware.

9.2 Class-action waiver

You and Absurd Intelligence agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis only. Neither you nor we will be a representative or member of any class or collective proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims or preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.

9.3 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and, where applicable, by the Federal Arbitration Act.

9.4 30-day opt-out

You may opt out of Section 9.1 and 9.2 by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of first using the Service, with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out”.
